What happens if I opt to take legal action?
If after the period of collections activity, there has not been any progress with a customer, you can opt to move forward and take legal action to recover the money.
You can use your own solicitor, or we can provide this service for you. This will incur further charges.
If you decide that you want to use our service, here are the steps we take during the legal process:
1 - Pre-legal report and sending an LBA (letter before action)
2 - Completing the POC's (Particulars of Claim) on the online court system
3 - Requesting the CCJ
4 - Obtaining the CCJ
If the customer defends the claim, we will prepare a response and witness statement for the court.
