What is Pass Genie™?
Pass Genie™ helps you approve more customers while PayItMonthly continues to provide the finance and take the lending risk.
Using AI-powered decisioning, Pass Genie expands our standard acceptance criteria to identify customers who may still be suitable for finance. This means you can convert more enquiries into completed sales without your business taking on the lending risk.
You choose how far you'd like to expand your acceptance criteria, giving you control over the level of additional approvals available to your business.
How Pass Genie Works
Pass Genie™ uses a tiered approval system.
Simply choose the highest tier you'd like to enable on your account. If a customer qualifies for a lower tier, they'll always be approved at the lowest applicable tier, ensuring you never pay more than necessary.
Tier: Tier 1
Additional Fee: +1.9%
Description: Customers who narrowly miss our standard acceptance criteria.
Tier: Tier 2
Additional Fee: +3.9%
Description: Customers requiring a broader assessment.
Tier: Tier 3
Additional Fee: +9.9%
Description: Our widest approval criteria, helping you reach even more customers.

Pass Genie is designed to increase approvals while maintaining our responsible lending standards.
Every application continues to undergo affordability and creditworthiness assessments in line with FCA requirements before any finance agreement is approved.
Pass Genie doesn't override these checks. Instead, it enables our decisioning engine to assess a broader range of customers who may still be suitable for finance.

Imagine a customer narrowly misses our standard lending criteria.
Without Pass Genie enabled, their application would be declined.
If you've enabled Tier 1, our decisioning engine will reassess the application. If the customer qualifies and passes all affordability and creditworthiness checks, we'll approve the agreement and apply the Tier 1 additional fee.
If they don't qualify for Tier 1 but do qualify for Tier 2 (and you've enabled it), they'll instead be approved under Tier 2.
This means you'll always pay the lowest applicable Pass Genie fee for every approved customer.
